Le candidature agli Oscar 2015 sono realtà. Oggi in due gruppi distinti, il primo composto da Alfonso Cuarón e J.J. Abrams, il secondo da Chris Pine e Cheryl Boone Isaacs, la presidentessa dell'Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, hanno annunciato tutte le candidature. Una divisione in due gruppi per aumentare l'attesa e creare maggiore spettacolo attorno ad una diretta televisiva e streaming, vista praticamente in tutto il mondo. La cerimonia sarà trasmessa su Sky Cinema Oscar HD, durante la notte tra il 22 e il 23 febbraio.

Poche sorprese e nomination piuttosto scontate: "American Sniper", "Birdman", "Boyhood" (grande favorito, trionfatore ai Globe ma sfortunato in sala), "The Grand Budapest Hotel", "The imitation Game", "The Theory of Everything", "Whiplash": questi i titoli che si contenderanno la statuetta come "Miglior Film". Non ci sono film italiani tra gli Oscar come Miglior Film Straniero, ma lo sapevamo già.
