Mentre attendiamo il vincitore del Leone d’Oro, il Toronto International Film Festival, iniziato appena due giorni fa e facendo subito il botto con “The Judge”, con Robert Downey Jr, e che andrà avanti fino al 14 settembre, quest’anno ha in programma decine di premiere mondiali da urlo. Ma tra le anteprime più attese ci sono anche “The Equalizer – Il vendicatore”, con Denzel Washington, diretto da Antoine Fuqua; “Before We Go”, film che segna il debutto da regista per Chris Evans; “Men, Women & Children”, nuova pellicola di Ivan Reitman; “Nightcrawler” con Jake Gyllenhaal; il musical “The Last Five Years”, con la mitica Anna Kendrick; “The Drop” con Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace e il compianto James Gandolfini ; “Knight of Cups”, attesissima nuova fatica di Terrence Malick e tantissimi altri.

Toronto Film Festival 2014: c’è anche “Hungry Hearts” del nostro Saverio Costanzo

Tra gli italiani, a Toronto è presente “Hungry Hearts”, diretto da Saverio Costanzo, e con Alba Rohrwacher, in gara anche a Venezia, e annunciato come Italy International Premiere. Saranno presenti anche film che non sono prime mondiali come “Pasolini” di Abel Ferrara, “Wild” di Jean-Marc Vallée, “Good Kill” di Andrew Niccol, “The Humbling” di Berry Levinson, e “Manglehorn” di David Gordon Green, con Al Pacino, alcuni visti anche al Lido. E’, ovviamente, impossibile elencare tutte le star che affolleranno il red carpet, le pellicole da tenere d’occhi sono moltissime e, anche in questo caso, sarebbe azzardato fare già dei pronostici sul potenziale vincitore.
