Nomination Oscar 2021, i candidati a miglior film. Matteo Garrone e Laura Pausini corrono per l’Italia

Ecco le candidature agli Oscar 2021. La cerimonia per la 93esima edizione degli Academy Awards si terrà il 25 aprile (nella notte tra il 25 e il 26, ora italiana). Grande soddisfazione per l’Italia, con Matteo Garrone candidato per Pinocchio (trucco e costumi) e Laura Pausini nominata per la miglior canzone. Ecco i film candidati e le altre nomination per i Premi Oscar 2021.

Gli Academy Awards hanno annunciato le candidature agli Oscar 2021. Spicca il record di 10 nomination a Mank, candidato come Miglior film, con Netflix che ne conquista ben 35. Gli altri film candidati all'ambito premio del cinema americano sono: The father, Judas and the Black Messiah, Minari, Nomadland, Sound Of Metal, il Processo ai Chicago 7 con 6 nomination, e Una donna promettente con 5 nomination. Per la prima volta, troviamo due registe candidate alla miglior regia: Chloé Zhao e Emerald Fennell, rispettivamente con Nomadland e Una donna promettente. Sono ben tre le nomination per l'Italia: concorrono Matteo Garrone per Pinocchio (candidato per trucco e costumi) e Laura Pausini per la miglior canzone, quella "Io sì (Seen)" per "La vita davanti a sé" che le è già valsa un Golden Globe. La cerimonia di premiazione degli Oscar vera e propria si svolgerà il 25 aprile 2021, con circa due mesi di ritardo rispetto agli anni precedenti causa pandemia. Vista la chiusura delle sale cinematografiche, sono stati ammessi alle nomination film originariamente destinati ad essere distribuiti nelle sale ma che, alla fine, sono usciti direttamente in streaming. Inoltre, sono ammessi i film usciti tra il 1 gennaio 2020 e il 28 febbraio 2021. Le categorie premiate passano da 24 a 23 con "miglior sonoro" e "miglior montaggio sonoro" che diventano un unico premio. I favoriti agli Oscar, due le registe candidate

Per la prima volta nella storia degli Oscar sono due le donne registe candidate, Chloe Zhao e Emerald Fennell, rispettivamente Nomadland e Promising Young Woman. In testa quanto a numero di candidature troviamo Mank (10), mentre Nomadland, Sound of Metal, Minari, Il processo dei Chicago 7  e Judas and the Black Messiah ne hanno 6 a testa. Appare favorito Nomadland, già vincitore di Leone d'Oro e Venezia e del Golden Globe, mentre appare scontata la vittoria come attore del compianto Chadwick Boseman, purtroppo scomparso prematuramente a causa del cancro.

Come seguire la Notte degli Oscar 2021

In Italia, la cerimonia della La 93ª edizione dei premi Oscar andrà in onda nella notte tra il 25 e il 26 aprile. Per seguirla sarà necessario sintonizzarsi su Sky Cinema. La premiazione si terrà al Dolby Theatre di Los Angeles: nelle intenzioni, infatti, sarà una manifestazione non in streaming ma in presenza (totalmente o in parte), ovviamente con tutte le limitazioni e gli accorgimenti dei protocolli anti-coronavirus.
